However, extreme poverty is not necessarily a death sentence, but those who live through it day-to-day suffer from disease and hunger. Lack of adequate food and nutrients results in malnutrition that causes severely impedes physical and mental development in children. Deficiency diseases are prevalent in sub-Saharan Africa due to poor diet. Furthermore, the food available is often ridden with parasites and harmful bacteria. The cause of parasites comes from poor sanitation and lack of proper health education. Suffering occurs in mentally as well as physically. Extreme poverty creates a state of powerlessness, a sense of shame, and vulnerability, which destroys the will of individuals or even whole communities (Singer, 2009). Furthermore, extreme poverty prevents many families from sending their children to school. While some families may not be able to send any of their children to school, others may have to make a choice of which child gets an education. Tasked with keeping up with current development in technologies, Human Resource Directors constantly research new trends in education, planning and recruitment. This paper will attempt to identify different aspects of the HRM and how they entwine to create an atmosphere for shaping employee development to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) focus on issues relating to nondiscrimination and equality throughout all levels and sector s of society which guides how corporations conduct business nationally and international ly ( Andrews, Hopkins, Persons, 2014) . In e arly effort s to right the wrongs of previous generations, attempts to correct discrimination in various layers of society have fallen short with enacting measures such as hiring quotas. In some cases, permitting hiring quota programs went to the extreme and resulted in "reverse" discrimination. With passing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII, July 1965), Human Resource Departments needed to shift hiring practices which are now subject to Federal Government oversight. Title VII prevents discrimination of employing an individual because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. However, in the attempt to comply with the Civil Rights Act, it was often disclosed less qualified minority candidates were hired to satisfy Title VII. Courts have often struck down the concept of rigid and inflexible quotas , rather , the essence of the law is to promote measured change in the way companies hire, advance or even terminate its employees ( Andrews, Hopkins, Persons, 2014) . In the case of Ricci v. DeStefano , a New Haven, Connecticut re ghter s eeking to qualify for promotion took the examinations given by the city. When the examination results revealed white candidates received higher scores than minority candidates, the city, "faced with a prima facie case of disparate-impact liability," threw out the test and made no promotions (Turner, 2014). The fire fighters sued the city and were success ful in proving the issue of reverse discrimination. The ultimate purpose of EEO/AA is to give all prospective candidates and current employees the opportunity for employment free from biases and discrimination. Human Resource Managers should put forward candidates solely upon their qualificati ons for the job and achievements while employed, not because of race, sex, national origin, religion, and later sexual preference. Managers and Directors have the difficult task to ensure EEO/AA practices are dispensed equally and equitably. Using these ideals and goals as a basis to manage my department, I must thoughtfully review all decisions with regard to those people charged to me. After that the sessions went on, and Joe had noticed his admiration for it so it had pulled more of his work ethic and determination along with his Amateur tittles. He further stated that he changed it because it was a slave name. Which of course at the time influence blacks to do things to lessen the oppression by whites at the time. Along with this he joined The NOI or Nation Of Islam, a religious following that fuses Black Nationalism and Sunni part of Islam. So on May 25,1965 Ali had won a bout to the beforehand unbeatable at the time to Sonny Liston(1930-1972), so during that match Ali had won dominantly towards the 6th round carrying on to the 7th round. So after that he had won the title of World Heavyweight Champion. Outside the ring he done something that had put everything including his career on the line. But before here is a time line of the military and him. In 1964 Ali had failed the USAF qualifying test because he wasn't versatile with reading and writing. So with the rising of the infamous Vietnam War(1959-1975),the government needed more soldiers to use for battle so test standards were lowered so more people who weren't educated which was 2.4 percent based on the NAAL (National Association of Adult Literacy) allowed for Ali to be qualified again. So in 1965 that caused for Ali to be reclassified as an 1-A in February of 1966. This casted a new status, eligiable to be drafted and an inducted into the United States Armed Forces. Of course his teachings at the NOI meetings had really taught him a lot about the world around him.. So when he was alerted by this he stood his ground and declared he wasn't going to serve in the army. This is especially true when students receiving special education services are in inclusive classrooms. There are a number of strategies that teachers- both special and general education- can employ to help with these situations. We will begin by looking at ways to provide structure, move on to addressing behavior in general, and look at structured interventions as prescribed by federal law. Classroom Management The most effective way to deal with difficult behavior is to prevent it. It really is as simple as that, but thats also sometimes easier to say than to put into practice in real life. Preventing bad behavior means creating a classroom environment that reinforces positive behavior. At the same time, you want to stimulate attention and imagination  and make your expectations clear to the students. To start, you can create a comprehensive classroom management plan. Beyond establishing rules, this plan will help you institute classroom routines, develop strategies to keep students organized and implement Positive Behavior Support systems. Behavior Management Strategies Before you have to put a Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA)  and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) in place, there are other strategies you can try. These will help refocus behavior and avoid those higher, and more official, levels of intervention. First of all, as a teacher, its important that you understand the potential behavioral and emotional disorders children in your classroom may be dealing with. These may include psychiatric disorders or behavioral disabilities and each student will come to class with their own needs. Then, we also need to define what inappropriate behavior is. This helps us understand why a student may be acting out the way she has in the past. It also gives us guidance in properly confronting these actions. With this background, behavior management becomes part of classroom management. Here, you can begin to implement strategies to support a positive learning environment. This may include behavior contracts between yourself, the student, and their parents. It could also involve rewards for positive behavior. For example, many teachers use interactive tools like the Token Economy to recognize good behavior in the classroom. These point systems can be customized to fit the individual needs of your students and classroom. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-based therapeutic system based on Behaviorism (the science of behavior), which was first defined by B.F. Skinner. It has been proven to be successful in managing and changing problematic behavior. ABA also provides instruction in functional and life skills, as well as academic programming. Individual Education Plans (IEP) An Individual Education Plan (IEP) is a way to organize your thoughts in a formal manner regarding a childs behavior. This can be shared with the IEP team, parents, other teachers, and school administration. The goals outlined in an IEP should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and have a timeframe (SMART). All of this helps keep everyone on track and gives your student a very detailed sense of what is expected of them. If the IEP is not working, then you might need to resort to the formal FBA or BIP.
